Ayra Starr hits 2 billion streams on Spotify

Nigerian Afrobeat sensation Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, also known as Ayra Starr, has officially surpassed 2 billion Spotify streams.

This achievement comes after her eagerly awaited second album, The Year I Turned 21, was released a few months ago to an already impressive 500 million streams.

The album, which is renowned for its creative fusion of genres and provocative lyrics, has been well-received critically and commercially, and it has contributed significantly to the artist’s increased streaming numbers.

With her self-titled debut EP in 2019, Ayra Starr initially gained recognition in the music industry and swiftly rose through the ranks in Nigeria.

Her career has been characterized by a series of hit singles, international recognition, and collaborations with prominent global artists.

Among her impressive discography, two tracks have particularly stood out on Spotify. The collaborative track “Santa,” featuring Rvssian, has reached over 455 million streams, while her chart-topping single “Rush” has also achieved significant acclaim, accumulating over 409 million streams.
