Renowned Nigerian singer Baba Fryo has criticised up-and-coming artist Nasboi for allegedly taking lyrics from his classic song “Denge Pose.”

In a now-viral social media video, Baba Fryo expressed his annoyance and called for fair recognition and payment for his contributions.

This is in response to Nasboi’s recent release of “Short Skirt.”

Additionally, Fryo cautioned Nasboi to get in touch with him before acting.

Speaking in pidgin, he said,

“Nigerians, I greet una. This thing don dey happen e don tey. And I was not happy with it. But now I want to take action.

“You see that song wey Naboi sings about ‘short skirt’. My lyrics ‘Dengo dey denge Denge’ are inside the verse. So, anybody wey know Naboi should tell him to reach out to me before water go pass geri.

“As you are looking at me, I’m not happy but this one must be the last time that anyone will use my song without telling me. You people should tell him to reach out to me before I take action.”
