BBNaija: Big brother cancels HOH ballot, Custodian challenge, returns HOH immunity

The organisers of the Big Brother Naija television show have changed several of the rules for the current season.

According to reports, the organisers of season 9 incorporated new elements, such as the Custodian Challenge, the House of Horror ballot, and housemates voting to remove the four pairs at the bottom.

The Custodians now have the ability to affect both the Head of the House ballot and evictions thanks to the new rule. The Head of Head is not subject to eviction, but the custodians are.

The host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, announced during Sunday’s live show that Biggie has now abolished the Custodian challenge and the HOH ballot as well as striped the housemates the power to vote for eviction of the bottom four pairs.

Biggie restored Immunity for the Head of House. However, the HOH does not have the power to “save and replace.”

According to the latest rules, the pairs will now nominate each other for eviction while viewers have the ultimate power to evict by voting.

In a similar story, streeze (Mayor and Tobi Forge) and Flourish (Ruthie and DJ Flo) have been evicted from the Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) ‘No Loose Guard’ house.

Earlier in the week, all pairs of housemates except Nelita (Nelly and Anita), who won the Head of House (HOH) title and immunity, and Wanni x Handi, the house custodians, were up for possible eviction.

The pairs with the fewest votes from fans were Flourish, Streeze, Radicals (Fairme and Mitchky), and Beta (Ben and Tjay).

Unlike the previous week when the custodians were asked to evict only one pair, this week, they were given the power to save one pair from eviction.

After deliberation in the diary room, Wanni and Handi chose to save Beta.

During the eviction show, Ebuka announced that the game would return to its original format, with the HOH winning immunity and the custodian role being scrapped.

Team Tami (Toyosi and Dami) was the first pair to be evicted from the show, followed by Ndi Nne (Chinne and Nne), who left last Sunday.
