Big Brother Naija season Nine housemate Nelly has revealed information about her background, including that she was a club dancer in the past.
During a conversation with fellow housemate Sooj, Nelly opened up about her time working in the nightlife industry.
Nelly revealed that establishing her relationships with Nigerian celebrities was made possible in large part by her work as a club dancer.
She made particular notice of her relationship with Pretty Mike, a well-known socialite and nightclub producer.
In Nelly’s words:
“I’ve worked at a club, not as a PR but as a dancer at the club, that was the first time I met Pretty Mike, he’s my guy.”
Recall that the management team of Big Brother Naija housemate Nelly Mbonu has prior denied that she is a stripper and pole dancer.
Nelly’s Instagram page released a statement in which she flatly refuted the rumours, labelling them as “entirely false.”
Nelly’s management claims that she is a well-liked cook and a stunning actress who has starred in multiple music videos.
They emphasised that she has never claimed to be a stripper or pole dancer, nor has she engaged in pole dancing.
The statement reads:
“It has come to our attention that there is misinformation circulating on various blogs, inaccurately stating that Nelly is a stripper and a pole dancer. We would like to unequivocally clarify that these claims are entirely false. Nelly is a respected chef and a talented video vixen who has appeared in several music videos. At no point has she ever stated that she is a stripper or a pole dancer, nor has she engaged in pole dancing.”
