Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate, Kola Omotoso, has drawn backlash on social media after a Friday night discussion with fellow contestant Dede stirred controversy.
The incident, caught on camera and widely shared online, showed Kola in a private conversation with Dede.
The exchange, though seemingly casual, was interpreted by many viewers as Kola crossing personal boundaries.
The clip rapidly went viral, sparking backlash as sections of the online community branded him with harsh labels such as “simp,” “predator,” and even “rap*st.”
Responding to the controversy, Kola’s family and management team released a strongly worded statement on his official X account on Saturday.
They dismissed the allegations as unfounded and harmful, emphasizing that Kola had consistently conducted himself with respect in the house, especially towards women.
The statement also cautioned that defamatory comments would not be overlooked, warning that the family might pursue legal action against individuals or platforms guilty of spreading false and damaging claims about Kola’s character.
“We want to categorically state that the defamatory narratives being spread about Kola are false, malicious, and dangerous. Kola has never at any point violated the rules of the show or disrespected his fellow housemates.
“We urge the public to desist from spreading defamatory remarks. Failure to comply will leave us with no choice but to pursue legal action.” the statement read.
