The king of Nigerian Afrobeats, David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has talked candidly about the special experience of fathering twins.
In stark contrast to many people’s predictions, Davido said the experience has been nothing but good.
Davido said that having twins is the nicest sensation he has ever experienced and that the happiness and contentment he feels are indescribable.
The musician said that he and his wife Chioma had accepted their responsibility as parents to twins with open hearts, despite their early reservations and worries.
He proudly expressed that his twins are blessed and don’t even cry. He said that initially, some were sceptical about raising twins, emphasising that it would be a difficult endeavour. Nevertheless, the reality has been very different.
Davido conveyed his appreciation for everything. The advent of his twins, which he views as a great blessing, has made parenting a pleasurable experience because of their placid attitude and quick progress.
Davido recently stated the following in an interview with Billboard:
“I remember when they came, everybody was calling like, ‘They have twins, blah, blah, blah. It’s gonna be hard.’ But, my twins are blessed. They don’t even cry.
“They’re just calm and they’re just growing so fast. It’s just a blessing. Thank God for everything really”.
Beyond being a father, Davido talked about his musical career and disclosed that he has worked on over 20 unreleased tracks with Chris Brown.
Davido gave his fans hope that his eagerly awaited album would appear this year, revealing that it will include brand-new songs.
By revealing that the collaborative effort will be featured on Chris Brown’s upcoming album, which is set to be released in only two weeks, he alluded to another project with the singer.
