Bimbo Ademoye, Dimeji Lateef, others grace Anikulapo series premiere

The premiere of “Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre” was a star-studded affair, with celebrities such as Bimbo Ademoye, Aisha Lawal, and Sola Sobowale in attendance, making it a glamorous night.

The premiere of Kunle Afolayan’s movie witnessed an impressive turnout of notable personalities showing their support. The Balmoral Convention Center in Lagos hosted the event on the night of Sunday, February 26.

Prominent figures from the entertainment industry, including actresses, actors, and musicians, adorned the star-studded occasion, radiating elegance in their traditional outfits.

Celebrities gracing the premiere include Bimpe Akintunde, Muyideen Oladapo, known as Lala, Mo Bimpe, Bimbo Akintola, Juliana Olayode, Ojo Pagogo, Jide Awobona, D’banj, Lateef Adedimeji, Jide Kosoko, Femi Adebayo, Biola Bayo, Tobi Makinde, and Aunty Ramota.

The anticipated resolution of Saro’s character, portrayed by Kunle Remi, in Kunle Afolayan’s Netflix film “Anikulapo,” was unveiled in the sequel titled “Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre.”

The trailer premiered on Netflix’s official Instagram account on January 30, revealing that the series would debut on March 1.

The one-minute clip unveils a sequence of events involving the main characters, Arolake and Saro, providing a glimpse into the anticipated fate of the latter, presumed dead.

However, in the initial episode of the series, it is disclosed that Saro not only came back from the dead but was assigned a mission to eliminate the twenty individuals he resurrected with the magical powder obtained from the mystical bird.

In the following episodes, it was disclosed that Saro would eventually be apprehended and brought back to the Oyo Kingdom, where a different destiny awaited him.

The destiny of Arolake, portrayed by Bimbo Ademoye, was also unveiled.

The six episodes series will start showing on March 1.
