The unexpected double eviction was announced by the show’s host, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, who entered the house right after the weekly Saturday night party.
After briefly interacting with the housemates, Ebuka delivered the shocking news, ending the journeys of both Bright and Thelma.
Their eviction follows a week marked by intense strategizing and battles for immunity.
Earlier, Big Brother had tasked all housemates — except the head of house (HoH), Zita — to search for a hidden red envelope containing an immunity card.
Imisi found the envelope, guaranteeing her safety. Faith also earned automatic protection after being voted the week’s ‘Most Influential Housemate’ by fellow contestants.
As HoH, Zita was asked to draw from the ‘Tree of Temptation’, granting her the power to save one housemate. She chose Rooboy.
These moves placed all other housemates on the eviction list, leaving their survival dependent on viewers’ votes.
The BBNaija season 10 edition began with a two-day launch — the female housemates were unveiled on July 26, while the male contestants entered on July 27, bringing the total to 29 participants.
This season’s winner will walk away with a record-breaking N150 million, the highest grand prize since the show’s inception in 2006.
