Nigerian artiste Damini Ogulu, better known by his stage name, Burna Boy, received the prize for the Best African Act at the 2022 MTV European Music Awards.

At the event on Sunday night, Burna Boy was nominated for an award along with Ayra Starr, Musa Keys, Tems, Zuchu, and Black Sheriff.
He was declared the winner, but he wasn’t present to accept the prize in person.
