The CEO of the Ashluxe brand Yinka Ashogbon has issued a statement regarding the incident involving security at his building and movie star Shan George and Caroline Danjuma.
Yinka Ash stated that his company disapproves of negativity such as violence, harassment, and assault and that he has personally been in touch with the affected actresses.
Feeling sympathy for them, Yinka Ash wrote;
”I have been made aware of the incident that occurred on our office premises on Saturday, 18.08.2024 [8:30pm-10:00pm].
Upon learning of the situation, it was promptly reported to the relevant authorities, and we are cooperating fully with their ongoing inquiry and investigation.
I sincerely empathize with Ms. Carolyna Hutchings and Ms. Shan George regarding the unfortunate events and have personally reached out to them.
Our organization does not condone or support violence, assault or harassment in any form.
We will continue to engage with all parties involved and corporate with the authorities as they carry out their investigation.
My best regards, Yinka Ash”
Caroline Danjuma criticised Yinka Ash before the publication of his testimony, accusing him of being ungrateful and indifferent to the entire affair and citing his history of impolite behaviour towards women.
The drama around Ashluxe that Caroline Hutchings and Shan George experienced is not the first of its kind in recent memory.
A few weeks prior, singer Lyta received public criticism from Yinka Ash for donning a phoney Yinka Ash shirt.
After criticising Lyta, he received a lot of negative feedback; some online users even suggested that he ought to have sent him the original item.
Lyta’s response to the whole situation was simply hilarious, as he merged the whole drama into the lyrics of his new song, citing how he was called out for wearing a fake brand.
Ashluxe is one of the biggest brands in Nigeria, especially Lagos State, with the likes of Yhemolee and Davido frequently wearing it.
