Yomi Fabiyi, an actor and director, has highlighted the damaging influence of unhealed parents on their children.
He claimed that a child’s first opponent is often a parent with unresolved problems.
In an Instagram post, Fabiyi stated that some parents, as a result of their emotional scars, engage in destructive behaviours such as lying, blackmailing, and brutality, harming their children’s well-being and happiness.
“A child’s first enemy is an unhealed parent. Some parents are enemies of their children. They engage in terrible lies, blackmail, and dirty wickedness in their favor at the expense of their children. Children beware”, he wrote.
Recall that, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede, clashed with Yomi Fabiyi over the actor’s assertion that the late singer’s brother, Adura, is aware of the reason behind his passing.
Mohbad was buried the day after his death on September 12, 2023. But the police dug up his body for an autopsy on September 21, 2023.
At a press conference held in Ikeja, Lagos on Wednesday, Fabiyi claimed that Adura messaged him on Instagram, saying he was aware of the circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s death.
Abosede, however, disputed the claim, alleging that the message was sent by Damola, a young man who had purchased Adura’s phone.
Abosede accused Fabiyi of attempting to implicate Adura and tarnish his image.
She emphasized that if the family had knowledge of Mohbad’s death, they would not remain silent. Abosede also clarified that Adura had sold his phone to Damola due to financial difficulties.
