It was an evening of tears and tributes at the ‘Night of Tributes’ event organised by the cast and crew of popular TV series, ‘The Johnsons’, in honour of the lead actress of the series, Ada Ameh, who passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022.
The event, which held on Thursday August 18, 2022, at the Freedom Park, Lagos, was moderated by comedian and actress, Lepacious Bose, while the duo of Dan D’ Humourous and Senator livened up the occasion.
In his tribute to the late actress, veteran filmmaker, Zeb Ejiro, said, “I am so proud of her because God used me to give her the opportunity to be a star. Ada was such a wonderful person. At times, she would call me and ask me to send my account number. She would then send money and tell me to go and enjoy myself.”
A close friend of the actress and her character, Emu’s husband on ‘The Johnsons’, Charles Inojie, also eulogised her, while debunking reports that everybody in her family had died.
On his part, comedian, Koffi, praised actress, Empress Njamah, for being a good friend to the late actress.
Other celebrities at the event include Chinedu Ikedieze, Yaw, Jude Orhoha, African China, Tunji Shotimirin, Olumide Oworu and Joe Praize.
