Afrobeats artist Kingsley Okonkwo, widely known as Kcee, has revealed that his formula for success in the music industry is rooted in relentless consistency and steadfast positivity.
Speaking on the Selah Meditate podcast, the Limpopo singer noted that, unlike many of his peers, he does not allow setbacks to hinder him, choosing instead to focus on creating more music.
Kcee explained that putting out multiple tracks increases the chances of producing a hit, saying “I can drop 22 songs, maybe it is the 25th one that will become a hit. I don’t care because consistency is key.”
He also highlighted the role of positive thinking in his journey, recalling how he and E-Money would envision better opportunities even when facing challenges.
“When me and E-Money were living in Ajegunle, if you asked us where we are living, we would say Ikeja. And we were not lying or pretending, we were dreaming, prophesying into the future.
“And that was where we eventually moved to. And we dominated it,” he added.
Kcee further noted that maintaining a positive outlook and concentrating on future goals has been crucial to overcoming obstacles and achieving success.
