Nigerian comedian and skit maker Josh2Funny has given his thoughts on the financial benefits of content creation.
He disclosed that prosperous content producers can purchase as many luxury cars as they like in a recent interview with Echo Room.
Josh2Funny highlighted how content development is profitable and how viewers consume it on a daily basis.
The Skitmaker noted that companies that offer everyday value typically make more money, comparing content production to necessities like clean water.
In his words:
“If you want to buy 4 Lamborghini from content creation, you go buy am.
“What do you think we are doing in the content-creating industry? Are we joking? You all are with your phones, when you’re in the bathroom, when you’re pooing, you’re consuming our stuff. It’s like pure water.
“Businesses that people consume on a daily basis, make more money. People are out there, consuming our content every time.”
Recall that, Josh2funny claims that most Nigerians do not watch his content.
Chude Jideonwo, a well-known media personality, asserted in a recent interview that many Nigerians “cannot relate to my jokes” and so do not watch his performances.
The 33-year-old Anambra-born content creator also said it takes “very high intellect to relate to my jokes”
“One thing about Josh2funny jokes is that sometimes it takes like a very high intellect to relate to my jokes. That is why I do not have a lot of Nigerian fans,” he said.
“Trust me, I watch my demography. It is dry humour and dry humour is the most difficult. So it is real, like it is too real in your face so you do not get it.”
Josh2funny described his appearance on America’s Got Talent (AGT) as “divine” while revealing he did not apply for the show. He said the first time he received an email from AGT, he thought it was a fraud.
“The crazy thing is that it is divine actually. Because my parents had visited and they were praying for me and then my brother who is my manager came in with a laptop,” he said.
“He said bro I just received a mail from America’s Got Talent, I checked the mail and I’m like no that’s a scam. Don’t do it, don’t click any link but I eventually did.
“It came out of nowhere, I did not apply. It was a producer that saw one of my audition videos and he was like the guy you got to come on the show and that’s how it went.”
