Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun and Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, were among the dignitaries who attended the Ojude Oba Festival in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, on Friday.

The event showcased rich cultural heritage and colourful displays, as various groups arrived in elegant traditional outfits, including flowing agbadas, geles and beaded accessories.

Celebrated annually on the third day after Eid-el-Kabir, the Ojude Oba Festival attracts thousands of participants and visitors, including political figures, celebrities and members of the Nigerian diaspora, in honour of Ijebu culture and traditions.

This year’s celebration marked the first edition since the passing of Oba Sikiru Adetona in July 2025.

The late monarch served as the Awujale of Ijebuland for 65 years.
