Davido discloses only American artist he can ‘disturb’ himself to work with

Nigerian Afrobeats musician David Adeleke, better known by his stage name Davido, has stated that he is selective about foreign collaborations.

The only artist other than Rihanna that Davido is eager to work with is the Barbadian diva. This information was made public after Rihanna declared “Unavailable,” Davido’s hit song, to be her favourite.

In frank discussion on the podcast “Sway’s Universe,” Regarding potential future partnerships, Davido said that the only American musician he has actively sought a partnership with is Chris Brown.

He said he was hoping they could write a song together now that Rihanna had supported his song “Unavailable.”

He said:

“Aside Chris Brown, I’m not going to disturb myself for any other American collaboration. Rihanna said ‘Unavailable’ is her best song, so I’m waiting to work with her”

Speaking on his previous work with Chris Brown, Davido stated that their joint effort, ‘Blow My Mind,’ stands as a pinnacle of Afrobeats and American music synergy.

“Blow My Mind’ with Chris Brown was the first US x Afrobeats collaboration to go crazy aside ‘One Dance’,”Davido said.

In a different story, Davido unveiled his distaste for a particular fashion trend.

The head of DMW expressed his aversion towards men wearing skirts, firmly stating that he himself would never wear one. However, he jokingly added that he might reconsider if presented with a half-million-dollar incentive.

Davido revealed this during a recent interview with the American fashion influencer, Mysterious Fashioniest.

The interview asked, “What’s one fashion trend you dislike?”

He said, “Skirt; men that wears skirts. I will never wear skirt. Except if I am offered half a million or a million dollars [laughs].”
