“Davido is not my God” – Abuja barber clashes with Davido

Famous Afrobeat artist Davido got into a heated argument with an Abuja-based barber after the two of them exchanged angry messages on social media about what appeared to be an innocent post.

Davido started the situation by posting pictures of himself on his Instagram profile and inviting his admirers to meet him in a location in the United Arab Emirates.

“HABIBI COME TO DUBAI !!!!!,” Davido wrote.

What happened next, though, was surprising as Kallystouch, an Abuja barber, chose to poke fun at the performer in the comments area.

The singer appeared to take exception at Kallystouch’s remark that Davido was the “only third man in the music industry.”

Davido snapped back, saying he was disappointed in Kallystouch’s actions, especially since he had kept the barber’s contact information in the hopes of using his services in the future.

Davido responded by emphasising how he had previously helped his barbers by opening stores for them and lamented what he saw as a lost chance for Kallystouch to gain from his support.

The conversation became more heated as Davido bemoaned the fact that Kallystouch seemed to value social media more than taking advantage of opportunities to further his profession.

“I don save ur picture I for come Abuja … u for cut my hair wey don almost finish but u like social media … my last 3 barbers I open shop for them .. nah so u dull ur generation blessing smh,” Davido responded.

Kallystouch, unfazed by Davido’s retort, used his Instagram story to reiterate his commitment to Wizkid. Referring to himself as a part of the Wizkid FC (Football Club), he claimed that no amount of pressure from Davido or his supporters could make him change his mind.

“Davido no be my God, FC forever. I am a Wizkid FC Barber 1 period,” he wrote.
