Dino Melaye, the former governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, has entered the ongoing debate between Nigerian Afrobeats superstars Wizkid and Davido.
Melaye has expressed his opinion that Davido is “undoubtedly” the leader of the Nigerian music industry and the most commercially successful on a global scale.
On his X handle on Wednesday, he wrote: “Davido is undoubtedly the 001 in the Nigerian music industry and undoubtedly the most patronised globally.”

Davido went on to challenge Wizkid to a hit battle, but the Starboy boss has not yet responded.
