Nigerian Grammy-nominated artist David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has expressed indifference to threats of canceling his upcoming show due to a recent controversial interview.
Davido faced backlash after remarking that Nigeria’s economy is struggling and advising Nigerians in the diaspora against returning to the country.

In a post on his X handle, he revealed receiving threats to cancel his December 24 show in Lagos due to these comments.
However, the singer maintained that he is unbothered, stating that performing in Nigeria is not a necessity for him.
He wrote: “LAGOS DEC 24TH! Dem say dem go cancel my show cus of my interview … loooool I don’t to have perform in NIGERIA”
