Popular Nigerian music artiste, Davido, and Stoneboy, a musician from Ghana, have arrived in Qatar in preparation for their separate performances to close the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
On Sunday, December 18, Davido is scheduled to perform at the closing ceremony, while on Friday, December 16, 2022, Stoneboy is scheduled to perform at the fan festival in Doha.
After landing in Doha, the two artistes were seen with Assistant Ghana Coach, George Boateng, in a picture that has gone viral on social media.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup will come to an end on Sunday when Argentina, led by Lionel Messi, will take on the defending champions, France.
Last week, Chinese entrepreneur Stephen Hung made the thrilling announcement that Davido would play at the 2022 FIFA World Cup’s closing ceremony.
After it would be his first public concert since the death of his son, Ifeanyi, in October, the development was welcomed news for many Nigerians and admirers of the music star around the world.
Hung, who shared the news via his Instagram story wrote, “So happy my bro #davido confirmed he will be performing at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony. Can’t wait to see him there.”
