Davido’s song delights fans at Wizkid’s New York concert
Ayo Balogun, better known as Wizkid, expressed his support for his colleague, Davido, at his recently concluded concert in New York.
Fans were ecstatic when Davido’s debut single, “Dami Duro,” was played at the sold-out event on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden.
During the performance, the song’s DJ, Tunez, paid tribute to Davido, who is currently mourning the death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.
The DJ said in a video that circulated on the Internet, “Davido, we love you, OBO, we love you.” Davido, I see you. “This is for OBO.”
As earlier reported by Newsclick Nigeria, Ifeanyi, Davido’s first son with his fiancé, Chioma Rowland, drowned in a swimming pool at the singer’s residence in Banana Island, Lagos State.
Since the tragic incident which occurred late October, none of the parents had made any public comments.
Davido has, however, cancelled his Are We African Yet (A.W.A.Y) concert which was slated to hold in November 2022.
The event has been rescheduled for November 2023.
