American singer, Keri Hilson has revealed in a latest interview that she went on a seven-year hiatus because of depression.

The singer who kicked off a career with ace song producer Timbaland in 2009, talked about depression in an event with the Silence the Shame organization.

The organization aims at ending stigma linked with mental illnesses.

She opened up on how she hit her lowest point, since she began battling depression seven years ago.
