Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi Oke has raised questions about the relationship between the late actress, Tope Osoba, and her fiancé, Itunu Onadeko, following allegations surrounding Osoba’s death.
Osoba, who was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent surgery in November 2024, died on August 4, 2026. Her death has since generated different accounts about the events leading to her passing.
Onadeko reportedly claimed that Osoba died at a police station in Ikorodu, Lagos State. He also alleged that she had been struggling with the use of hard drugs, including a substance popularly known as kolos.
Reacting to the claims during an Instagram Live session, Oshodi strongly criticised Onadeko and questioned why he remained with Osoba for about two years if he was aware of an alleged drug problem.
She also questioned why the relationship did not progress to a formal family introduction or marriage despite the length of time they reportedly spent together.
“That her fiancé is a devil in disguise. You called yourself a priest, and you allowed a girl you weren’t married to stay with you for two years. For those two years, you didn’t know her family? Where in the Bible is it written? No introduction, no wedding, how?” she asked.
Oshodi further made allegations about what happened to Osoba after funds raised to support her medical treatment were reportedly depleted.
According to the actress, Onadeko allegedly asked Osoba to leave his residence and subsequently told her to deny that they had been in a romantic relationship.
“She still had millions in her account from the donations, so when the money finished, you told her to pack out and told her to pretend that you both had never been dating.
“What sort of pretence is that? She was with you for two years and was smoking. Within three months, didn’t you notice? Why didn’t you send her away? Because it isn’t possible to have hidden it for over two years.”
The allegations have added to the growing controversy surrounding the circumstances of Osoba’s death, with different accounts emerging from people connected to the actress.
Meanwhile, the Celestial Church of Christ, where Onadeko is a shepherd, has commenced an internal investigation into the circumstances surrounding Osoba’s death.
