Deyemi Okanlawon raises alarm over high rate of ‘slumping & dying’ cases

Nollywood film star Deyemi Okanlawon has raised concern over the increase in the rate at which people slump and die.

His observation follows the tragic deaths of Yoruba vlogger Afobaje and Nigerian music icon Onyeka Onwenu, who both slumped and passed away.

While 39-year-old Afobaje, whose real name is Abimbola Ali, passed away while playing football at Ikeja Cement, 72-year-old Onyeka Onwenu collapsed and died after her performance at a friend’s 80th birthday.

They were both taken to the hospital immediately, but attempts to resuscitate them were unsuccessful. In light of the aforementioned situations, Deyemi Okanlawon purportedly tweeted about it in addition to other instances.

The actor claimed to have firsthand knowledge of five separate deaths involving collapses that occurred over the previous three weeks. The actor questioned if appropriate examinations and investigations are being carried out in cases of these kinds of tragedies.

Deyemi Okanlawon took to Twitter and tweeted:

“The rate at which ppl are just slumping and dying… I heard of about 5 in the last few weeks. Forgive my paranoia but I wonder if any proper autopsies and investigations are being done cos most of took those vaccs!”
