DJ Cuppy hints at going back to school for fourth degree

The Nigerian disc jockey, DJ Cuppy, has announced that she is applying to study another degree.

The famous DJ, who is the rich businessman Femi Otedola’s daughter, recently said on Instagram that she “loves learning.”

Cuppy claimed that after doing a performance, she decided to seek a second degree.

“So, I am at home at the moment. I finished a DJ gig and I started working on an application for something pretty important. And I have decided to go back to school. I already have three degrees but I love learning,” she said.

“The university I am applying to, obviously is very academically and their application is pretty rigorous. And I just felt quite discouraged. I am 31 now. My brain does not work like it needs to. I was looking at the prerequisite readings and I was like how am I going to do this. And I realised I have done it before I can do it again.”

The performer, whose real name is Florence Otedola, also posted a picture of her certificate on social media.

The singer started her master’s programme in African Studies at Oxford University in October 2021.

The following year, Cuppy finished her thesis, which is the obligatory academic study project. Despite not receiving any award or distinction, she expressed her gratitude for passing the thesis.

Cuppy graduated with her second master’s (MSc) and third degree from the University of Oxford in England last year.

In another story, DJ Cuppy was invited by British monarch King Charles III to a reception at Buckingham Palace in honour of The King’s Trust Awards 2024.

The rich heiress posted a copy of the invitation on Friday using her X (formerly Twitter) account.

The invite reads,

“The Master of The King’s Household is commanded by His Majesty to invite Ms Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola to a Reception to be given at Buckingham Palace by The King in celebration of The King’s Trust Awards 2024.”

Reacting to the news, Cuppy wrote,

This week, I was honoured to be invited for a special reception with his Majesty the King, at Buckingham palace.

“As a @KingsTrustInternational ambassador I’m overjoyed to join our Global Award winners for the #PrincesTrustAwards 2024 ♥️,” she added.
