Actor highlights realities of old age

Speaking in a reflective tone, Agu said, “Enjoy yourself now that you are young. Old age is full of challenges. Old age comes with one problem or another. If it is not diabetes, it is high blood pressure.”

He continued, “If it is not heart problem, it may be kidney or liver issues. If it is not stroke, then it is problems with the brain and many others. Enjoy yourself now that you are young.”

Emphasising the urgency of time, he added, “Time waits for no one. Live your life to the fullest. where they have the opportunity. Old age is not child’s play.”

Referencing scripture, he said, “Ecclesiastes 3 verse 1 To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.”

Call for balance between enjoyment and preparation

While urging young people to enjoy life, Agu cautioned against neglecting future planning.

“There is time for everything. Enjoy your youth. while you can. You never can tell what lies ahead. But while enjoying your youth, make sure you are preparing for old age. It is not easy at all,” he said.

Reinforcing his message, he added, “I repeat, it is not easy at all. However, it can be easier for those who prepare for it. As you make your bed, so you will lie on it.”

Quoting further, he said, “Ecclesiastes 3 verse 2 A time to plant and a time to pluck.”

He warned, “You will not pluck what you did not plant. You will not reap Where you did not sow.”

Financial advice and family values

Agu also stressed the importance of financial discipline and maintaining strong family relationships as key to enjoying old age.

According to him, “Old age is best enjoyed when you prepare for it. I am not trying to scare you. I am only saying it the way it is. Hold God tight.”

He added, “Treat your family right and make plenty money. I repeat, make plenty money. Your bills will not pay themselves. Invest now while you can.”

Highlighting future financial realities, he said, “The bills you will pay in your old age will be much more expensive than what you spend in clubs.”

He explained further, “At that time, you will not be spending and smiling with hope that more will come. Instead, you will be spending with worries, preparing and counting your days.”

Message resonates with many

Concluding his message, Agu said, “Old age is a journey, and only those who are prepared. We reach their destination peacefully. Make hay while the sun shines. Let those who have ears hear.”

He ended with a prayer, saying, “I pray we all get there in good health and wealth. In Jesus name, Amen.”
