Family announces burial arrangements for late actress Allwell Ademola

The family of the late Nollywood actress, Allwell Ademola, has released details of her burial plans.

In a press statement shared online by her cousin, Muyiwa Ademola, the family announced that a Service of Songs will take place on Thursday, January 8, followed by a candlelight procession.

The statement further revealed that the actress will be buried on Friday, January 9, at Atan Cemetery in Yaba, Lagos.

The family also specified a dress code for those attending, noting that customised T-shirts will be distributed at the venue on Thursday, while mourners are expected to wear white tops and jeans on the burial day.

The statement read, “The burial arrangement for Princess Allwell Ademola.
Note: On Thursday, a customised T-shirt will be provided at the venue.
While on Friday for the burial, you can come wearing a white shirt with jeans. Colour code is white.
Thank you, everyone.”

Further details released by the family showed that activities on Thursday will begin with a Service of Songs from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, followed immediately by preparations for the candlelight procession. The procession is scheduled to run from 6:00pm to 7:00pm, from LTV 8 to Oregun Junction and back to LTV, after which an Artistes’ Night will follow. Closing remarks are expected at 11:00pm.

It was earlier reported on December 27 that the actress died after suffering a heart attack at her residence.

The news of her passing was confirmed by several colleagues in the industry through social media posts.

Actors including Damola Olatunji, Mr Latin, Faithia Williams and Bidemi Kosoko were among the first to publicly mourn her.

In an official family announcement, it was revealed that Allwell Ademola was 49 years old.

The family expressed gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers and condolence messages from colleagues, friends and well-wishers, while praying for her soul to rest in peace.
