Nigerian Actress Adebimbola Aisha Ademoye, popularly known as Bimbo Ademoye was born on the 4th of February, 1991 in Surulere, Lagos to Mr. and Mrs. Adekunle Ademoye, although her mother was never in the picture.

Her most well-known performance among her fans is from the 2017 Nollywood film Backup Wife.

In addition to her acting abilities, Ademoye‘s charisma and gorgeous appearance have helped her grow her fan following.

Education

Bimbo completed her elementary education at St. Margaret’s Elementary School in Ikorodu and secondary education at Mayflower Senior School, Ikenne, Ogun State. After the completion of her secondary school education, Bimbo proceeded to get a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Covenant University, Ogun State.

Career life

Bimbo started her career as a student by actively participating in school plays and regional theatre shows. She also worked as a presenter, marketer, receptionist, and salesperson at a hair extension store at different points before her breakthrough in the industry.

Bimbo got her breakthrough in 2014 when she landed her first major acting role in a short film titled “Where Talent Lies” after the popular director, Uduak Isong, discovered and gave her a golden chance. The film got nominated at the African International Film Festival and won the award for “The Best Film Pitch” that year, and its recognition helped the rising star become known in the industry. Her outstanding performance in the series attracted both industry insiders and spectators’ attention, catapulting her into the public eye.

Among her best known movies are “Anikulapo,” “Desperate Housegirls,” “Husbands of Lagos,” “Looking for Baami,” and “Sugar Rush”. She was also featured in the movie “Gone” with the star actress Stella Damasus in 2018.

Bimbo  has been recognised with both nominations and awards for a variety of honours, including Best Actress in a Leading Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), Best Supporting Actress at the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA), and the City People Movie Awards.

Bimbo is not married and does not have a husband. She is rumoured to be in a relationship with VJ Adams, also known as Adams Ibrahim Adebola. He is a Nigerian Video Jockey, television presenter, businessman and musician.
