The organisers of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), the Africa Film Academy (AFA), have announced the 2024 edition’s nominees.

At a press conference held on Wednesday at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, the nomination list was made public.

The 20th edition of AMAA, presented in collaboration with the Lagos government, has the subject “Celebrating African Creativity.”

Uche Okocha’s Nigerian film “The Weekend” received 16 nominations, while Femi Adebayo’s “Jagun Jagun” received seven.

The award ceremony will be held on November 2 at the Balmoral Hall, Sheraton, Ikeja, Lagos.
