The actress celebrated Nigeria’s new year on Instagram since today, October 1, 2024, marks the 64th anniversary of the country’s independence.
Funke Akindele commended and expressed gratitude to every Nigerian for their tenacity at this difficult time for the nation.
The mother of two sons expressed her absolute belief that Nigeria will be great again and hence she will not be transferring to another country for greener pastures.
The highest-grossing producer listed her blessings and accomplishments in Nigeria, including her capacity to encourage youths, her ability to film a film with a crew of over 175 people, and the fact that her film sold out upon its premiere.
Akindele acknowledges that Nigeria gave her everything and more, and she vows to stay in the nation when things go tough.
