Hollywood actress Gabrielle Union is adding her voice to the silent protest that was held at the just concluded 2018 Golden Globes.
The protests were held to speak against sexual assault in Hollywood and in a post shared on her Instagram page a few hours ago, Gabrielle Union talks about the fact that the time for change in the industry is now.
She wrote:
#TimesUp #WhyWeWearBlack
This year marked the 25th anniversary of my rape. #MeToo I know I am not alone. Together we can eradicate sexual violence, harassment and abuse. Together we can have true equality. Together we can dismantle white supremacy and racism. Together we can center the voices of the most marginalized among us. Together we can acknowledge the jig is up and its BEEN time for a monumental sweeping change. #TimesUpNow
