Renowned actor, Chris Attoh is bereaved. His new wife, Jennifer was shot dead in the U.S by a gunman.
The gunman fatally shot the 44-year-old Bettie Jenifer in the head at the parking lot of a Maryland office building on Friday.
According to reports, Jennifer had left the office in the 6300 block of Ivy Lane and was walking to her car when a man armed with a handgun approached her, the Greenbelt Police Department said.
She made attempts to run away, the assassin followed her and fired off multiple rounds, with at least one shot striking her. He then fled in a vehicle. She was declared dead at the scene.
The killer was described as black and having a thin build with black hair. He was wearing dark clothing and may have been in a blue car.
Chris Attoh and Bettie Jenifer got married at a private event at North Kaneshie, Accra, Ghana in October 2018. This was 10 months after divorcing DamiloIa Adegbite, a Nigerian actress with whom he has a son.
The handsome actor sparked speculation that all may not be well with their marriage after he deleted all of Bettie’s pictures from his social media pages.
Social media has been rife with speculations that they had broken up but neither of the two has publicly confirmed or denied the story.
