GWR: Comedian DeeOne completes marathon stand-up comedy session

Popular Nigerian comedian and reality TV star, DeeOne, has successfully completed his attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual stand-up comedy performance.

After receiving approval from the Guinness World Records (GWR), the comedian began his 52-hour stand-up comedy attempt at midnight on October 2 and successfully completed it on Saturday, October 4, 2025.

Speaking after the event, DeeOne explained that the record-breaking effort was meant to inspire Nigerian youths and dreamers everywhere, reminding them that “no goal is too high to achieve.”

The 52-hour event, held at Pallazzo in the Ikeja area of Lagos State, attracted several Nigerian celebrities, including Pamilerin, Acapella, FunnyBone, Uche Maduagwu, Husband Material, EmmaOhMaGod, K-Solo, Constance Owoyemi, Akinolu Jekins, and Gbenga Adeyinka the 1st, among others.

DeeOne’s impressive 52-hour and 42-minute performance is currently awaiting official verification by the Guinness World Records (GWR).

It is worth noting that American comedian Benny Elbows currently holds the record, which he set on April 25, 2025, with a 40-hour, 16-minute, and 48-second performance.
