The Ogun State police command has revealed why they attempted to arrest controversial Nigerian singer, Portable.

The Zazuu Crooner, in the early hours of Tuesday, March 28, had a clash with some police officers that stormed his restaurant in Ogun State.

The security agents wanted to arrest the music star, but he resisted and challenged them to know the reason for them showing up.

He stood his ground in his office and alleged that they were invited by a Yahoo boy to take him and some of his people away.

Reacting, The state police spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, told BBC that Portable was asked to report himself to the police on five occasions but he refused to honour the invitation.

According to Abimbola, he was invited for questioning after a report was lodged against him.

“We have also sent an invitation to him through his father like two times, yet he did not show his face,” he said.

The police spokesperson said following his refusal to honour the invitation, the police approached a court to get an arrest warrant for Portable.

“When the officers got to the place to carry out the arrest, Portable, on sighting them, stripped himself naked so as to create a scene,”

“We are going to use minimum force to arrest him. Portable is not bigger than the law.” the police spokesperson added
