Herdsmen destroying farmlands in Bayelsa – Singer Timaya cries out

Afrobeats artist Timaya has expressed concern over the reported destruction of crops and farmlands by herders in his home state of Bayelsa.

He urged the government to take immediate action to tackle the issue, emphasizing that the devastation of farmlands is deeply distressing.

The ‘Dem Mama’ singer also opposed open grazing, calling on the herders to adopt ranching practices for their cattle.

On his X handle on Tuesday, he wrote, “Pls the government should do something. They are destroying farms in Bayelsa. Aboki, take your in cow inside and feed them. This is so sad.”
