How 2Baba’s ex-manager stopped him from helping me – Dammy Krane

Nigerian musician Dammy Krane has made a shocking claim, claiming that the famed singer 2Baba was prevented from offering assistance by his former manager, Efe Omorogbe, when they were both signed to the Hypertek record company.

The announcement of 2Baba’s split with his longtime manager, Omorogbe, coincides with this discovery.

Dammy Krane shared a screen grab of the report on social media using his X handle;

“This man was the reason why 2baba didn’t do the things he planned to do for me while I was signed to Hypertek. Thank God.”

In 2020, 2baba acknowledged that, despite having signed Dammy Krane to his HyperTek record company, he didn’t do much for him.

This came to light after Dammy Krane posted a screenshot of a direct message (2face) in which he revealed that he was unable to move further with his Act at the time due to certain legal concerns.

2Baba left The Plantashun Boiz in 2004 and signed with the management of Now Muzik.

Now, Muzik shared a joint statement on Instagram on Wednesday, saying that 2face and Efe have mutually decided to split up with immediate effect.

Efe thanked 2Baba and said that working with him went “beyond work.”

While relishing his achievements with 2Baba in the two decades of their partnership, he promised that he and his company would continue to support the singer from the sidelines.

On his part, 2Baba said he “owes a lot of my career success to Efe and his team at Now Muzik.”
