A seasoned Nollywood actor,Femi Brainard shares insights into his life post-departure from the entertainment industry as he moved abroad.
In a recent interview with Teju Babyface, the actor revealed that, despite being a celebrity, he had to take up driving in America to provide for his family.
During the discussion of his post-entertainment experiences, Brainard disclosed this aspect of his life.
Speaking on the adavantage and disadvantages of moving abroad, he emphasized that “As a celebrity, it’s preferable to be a prominent figure in Nigeria than to travel abroad and become unrecognized”
“I became a cab driver in America just to put food on the table. Whenever people see me, especially Nigerian passengers, they often stare at me in disbelief, wondering if I’m indeed the familiar star they recognize.
“America does not recognize your stardom, nor does it respect your celebrity.”
