Rising Nigerian singer, Chimamanda Pearl Chukwuma also known as Qing Madi, has disclosed how her social media preaching of Jesus Christ cost her followers.

Famous for songs like “American Love,” the singer announced this on her Instagram page and said that a significant number of her followers had stopped following her because of her religious content.

The artist shared her thoughts about the circumstance and made it apparent that the loss hasn’t affected her.

Qing Madi declared she had no remorse in openly expressing her beliefs, even in light of the precipitous decline in her fan base.

LOL. I lost a lot of followers for talking about Jesus Christ,” she wrote. “And from the bottom of my heart, I don’t regret a thing. Luv y’all.”

The ‘American Love’ crooner went on to convey that her commitment to sharing her faith outweighs any social media metrics.

Qing Madi gained prominence after her 2022 single ‘See Finish’ and its 2023 follow-up, ‘Ole’ featuring BNXN went viral on TikTok.

She currently has nearly half a million followers on Instagram.

In a different story, Qing Madi stated that she would love to work with Burna Boy and Wizkid, two of the country’s biggest musical talents.

The musician also stated that she wishes to collaborate with other musicians like Wande Coal, Simi, and Fave as her career develops.

During a discussion about her artistic path, Qing Madi—who has previously worked with Victony and BNXN, two of her favourite artists—shared her dreams.

She pointed out her desire to work with industry heavyweights such as Wizkid, Burna Boy, Wande Coal, Simi, and Fave, expressing hope that these collaborations will come to fruition at some point in her career.

“The only artistes I have collaborated with are Victony and BNXN. They are actually two of my favorite artistes. However, I would still love to collaborate with Wizkid, Fave, Wande Coal, Simi, and Burna Boy. That is my dream, and I hope that I can achieve them at some point in my career,” Qing Madi said in the interview.
