Canada-based actress, Deborah Ewedafe, has spoken out about the terrible family tragedy that compelled her to give up acting.

In an interview with Kunle Afod, Ewedafe said that she grieved the loss of her father-in-law, brother, cousin, and niece in a two-month period in 2024.

In order to deal with her loss, the actress had to take a hiatus from acting, even though she had planned to shoot the second season of one of her films in Canada.

She said: “I was planning to take some actors to Canada for the continuation of season two of one of my movies that I started two years ago. I stopped acting in movies when I lost 4 members of my family in just 2 months.”

“I lost my niece, whom I started training from the age of 2, and she died at the age of 31. I lost my brother, my cousin, and my father-in-law. The year 2024 was a difficult year for me, but I thank God because I learnt a lot from those incidents.”
