Actor Daniel Etim-Effiong discussed keeping healthy relationships and dealing with female fans with his wife, Toyosi.
Etim considered how his approach to dealing with difficult circumstances had changed over time.
He highlighted the value of self-awareness and boundaries in dealing with his “saviour complex.”
Toyosi asked: “What measures do you have in place to protect yourself from the chaos and unpredictability?”
Etim explained:
“The simple answer to the question is I have measures in place, and I have always had measures in place. I guess the toolbox is getting better as I grow.
“I’ve learned to have boundaries in place and how to deal with my saviour complex. I cannot be there to save everyone who needs help; I cannot be their emotional support, the love of their lives, and their saviour. As I grow older, I have been able to handle this.”
Recall that, Toyosi Etim-Effiong wife of actor Daniel Etim-Effiong, shared a humorous response to a close-up photo of her husband alongside actress Bimbo Ademoye.
On Wednesday, Bimbo caused a stir online by posting an intimate photo with Daniel Etim-Effiong on her Instagram page.
The photo showed a shirtless Daniel with Bimbo wrapped in a towel, her left hand resting on his chest.
Bimbo Ademoye paired the image with a poetic caption:
Late Nights , Whispers in the dark, We painted dreams that felt just like Art.
“You came at the right time, Let’s call it God sent. Little did I know that it would leave me bent! Finally, I realized, the grass isn’t always greener on the other side. @etimeffiong.
The post is part of a promotional campaign for Bimbo’s upcoming movie.
In reaction, Toyosi Etim-Effiong reposted the photo with a playful comment poking fun at the timing.
She wrote:
“Imagine posting anniversary pictures talking about oh my friend, my lover, my priest. Next thing @bimboademoye releases this kind of poster for her movie Fame & Fury that is coming out on YouTube this Friday??!
“See where she put her hand!! Daniel too is closing his eyes as if… Is this really my calling… Please, do you think this is my calling?!!”
