Nollywood veteran Yemi Solade has disclosed that he was once paid to fake a physical disability in order to stage a false healing miracle at a church.
The actor made the revelation during an interview with Feel Right News TV, which was published on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
According to Solade, the incident took place before he gained recognition in Nollywood. At the time, he was still a student and had yet to establish himself in the entertainment industry.
According to him, he was approached to pretend to have a physical disability as part of a purported healing miracle and agreed to take part.
Recalling the incident, Solade said, “I have been used for miracle then, when I was not popular. I acted as a cripple, they paid, I used the money to drink, then I was a student. The people involved are still alive; I don’t just want to mention names.”
