Nollywood actor Samuel Ajirebi has claimed that his mother made the daring decision to leave acting to raise their family.
Samuel Ajirebi recently stated in an interview with Oyinmomo TV that his mother had a career in acting, despite the fact that he never saw her on screen.
He added that she voluntarily left the business to allow her husband, seasoned actor Papa Ajasco and Company’s Pa James, better known as Pa Ajirebi, to pursue his acting career while she looked after the house. According to the law graduate from Obafemi Awolowo University:
“As I was told, before she got married, she was an actress. But she loved the idea of her husband being in the industry while she focused on the family. She wasn’t forced to step aside; she did it for the future of her children.”
Samuel Ajirebi also credited his parents for prioritizing his education over childhood fame, a decision that shaped his future. He added:
“Everything was my parents’ decision. They understood that whatever I achieved as a child actor was just a rehearsal for what I could become with proper education. They were not swayed by the fame and money I had at the time.”
