The legendary Nigerian actor Zack Orji recalls how his marriage was affected by the nude scene he played in a 1990s movie with actress Eucharia Anunobi.
In the 1994 Nollywood hit film “Glamour Girls,” Orji and Anunobi enjoyed passionate times in a bathtub.
The movie tells the tale of four independent, single women who entered dubious professions in the historically patriarchal culture of Nigeria.
A number of notable Nollywood actors, including Pat Attah, Ernest Obi, Ngozi Ezeonu, and Liz Benson, were included in the film.

In addition to raising eyebrows in the Nigerian film industry at the time, the contentious sequence elevated Anunobi to prominence.
Following the release of “Glamour Girls,” Orji, who was recently featured on the podcast “Nollywood Hardcore: The Legend’s Untold Story,” disclosed that a number of people had been feeding his wife unfavourable rumours about him.
“Back then, we were talking about the 90s before the 2000s. I was married, yes,” he said.
On whether he had a misunderstanding with his wife, Orji said, “I did. Even though she’s an actress, so they were putting a lot of things in her mind”.
The actor said he was also suspended from church. He said before his suspension, his pastor told him he had received several complaints about the film.
Orji said the suspension which he thought was private was however leaked to the media.
“I remember after the movie was released, my pastor invited me and said that he had been receiving too many calls. He said ‘how can Zack go and do this kind of thing?’ He said he called me because he wanted to suspend me. But he wanted to inform me first of all before suspending me,” the actor said.
“And he said well, he was not going to tell anybody that it was just between us. While this happened, I was on another set, we were filming in Ikeja GRA. There was this guy called Alex who was very well-known in the industry back then.
“He worked with Punch Newspapers. He came to the set where I was filming and said ‘I just want to confirm from you before going to the press, is it true that you have been suspended by your church?’ I said who told you that?”
