Actor and media personality Denrele Edun is getting ready to commemorate thirty years in the entertainment business, recounts how a wife of a popular Dj called him HIV positive.
Denrele Edun reflected on a painful experience in which the wife of a well-known DJ told his favourite designer not to style him, claiming he was HIV positive and cautioning against his contact with her children because of his then-perceived feeble appearance. This is as he approaches this significant milestone in May.
Denrele was calm, just listening and grinning, even though she was hearing these harsh comments.
When Denrele looked back on his journey, he was thankful for the changes in his body and commented on how beautiful it was to put on weight after being called “anorexic,” “malnourished,” and even wrongly diagnosed as HIV positive.
