The late musician Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known by his stage name Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi, has vehemently refuted recent rumours suggesting that she secretly tested Liam for DNA.
Wunmi emphasised that there is no truth to rumours that have been making the rounds in several media outlets, claiming that she set up two clandestine centres for DNA testing.
She refuted the claims, telling SaharaReporters on Thursday that “it is a lie.”
Wunmi’s father-in-law, Joseph Aloba, was reported to have insisted on getting a DNA test done to prove his grandson’s paternity earlier.
Wunmi had first expressed that she was willing to move forward with the DNA test. Since then, though, she has changed her mind and said that she is no longer in favour of carrying out the test.
Wunmi asserted, quite boldly, that only her late husband Mohbad had the authority to ask her to submit to a DNA test. With much emotion, she declared that Mohbad was her one and only sexual partner and claimed that he had stolen her virginity.
Additionally, the Chief Magistrate Court in Ikorodu issued an order directing Wunmi to get notice of the pending DNA test application by an alternate method.
This was stated in a letter to the Aloba family, written by Monisola Odumosu, a member of the legal team.
The family requested an order to serve Wunmi by posting all of the originating proceedings and other processes in the litigation on the respondent’s last-known address in an application that the legal team sent to Joseph Aloba, the late singer’s father.
The statement claimed that the Emmanuel Oroko-led legal team had contended that the sheriff had made two unsuccessful attempts to serve Wunmi with court documents.
