Nigerian musician Folarin Falana popularly known as Falz has revealed that he has never declared love to anyone before.
Falz stated he had never fallen in love during an appearance on the Menisms Podcast.
Regarding his romantic life, he mentioned that he hasn’t been in a relationship long enough for such declarations of love.
“I have never said I love you to anybody. I have never been in love or gotten to that level of emotional commitment before. And they have not said it to me sha. You know there is a level in a relationship where it’s like, ‘Oh, I love you, baby, I love you too’, I have never gotten there.
“I’ve just not made the commitment. I have always been upfront about my feelings, disposition and commitment early on, so we are usually on the same page. That way, nobody is going to run off on their own tangent because we know what is going on.
“Also, from time to time, I feel like these conversations need to be revisited every often. At the end of the day, it is not like I am not expressive, maybe I have just been consistently true to the cause and I have now become accustomed to the mindset of always guiding.”
In a different story, Falz shared his reservations about getting married.
During a recent episode of the Unpack podcast, the singer, who is 33 years old, expressed that he does not know what his dream married life as a celebrity would include.
Falz, who maintained that he is unmarried, added that he is debating whether to disclose or not to disclose his impending marriage.
“I am not married. I am 100% single. I do not know where you hear that rumour from, but it is wrong. Those people are peddling false information. I have been single for a while. Maybe I should just try it. I do not know the ideal relationship. Maybe that is one of the reasons why I have not bothered to try. When I say I am bothered, I do not know what the ideal set-up would look like.,” he said.
“Being an artiste, being in the public eye. Is it going to be public? Is it going to be like a coded p, or do you want to come out as a famous couple? I think these things are difficult to navigate. I think this is one of the biggest reasons why entertainers do not get to have healthy relationships like family life. It is tough. It will always come out one way or the other. I might do it and run it coded.”
