The seasoned Nollywood actress Binta Ayo Mogaji has finally opened up about why she ended her 13-year marriage to former football player Victor Ayodele Oduleye.
The movie actress previously dated her coworker, actor Jibola Dabo, and the two had a 20-year-old child together. In 2006, she married retired football player and physiotherapist Victor Ayodele Oduleye.
However, Binta Ayo Magaji accused Victor Oduleye of abuse during her most recent interview with actress Biola Bayo on the “Talk To B” podcast.
She went on to describe her romantic adventure with the former football player. According to Ayo Mogaji:
“We fell in love with each other but received beating over any little thing.
“Even in England the abusive language, the mental torture, the physical abuse, when it gets too much I will advise anybody to get out of that marriage.
“It got to a stage that when it’s only two of us at home, I do go outside the compound and sit till when someone will come around so that I will not be abused. We were in it for like thirteen years and we have been separated for four years now.”
In the same interview with Biola Bayo, Binta Ayo Mogaji revealed how she became a mother at the age of 40 years.
During an episode of the ‘Talk To B’ podcast, she disclosed that she had to undergo surgery to remove one of her fallopian tubes following an ectopic pregnancy.
Despite having only one functioning fallopian tube, the actress described how she successfully gave birth to her child naturally.
She recounted that before turning 40, she had resolved to adopt a child if she didn’t conceive naturally.
However, she was blessed with her own child just a few weeks after reaching this milestone.
Mogaji explained that during that period, she wasn’t interested in marriage, and neither was the father of her son.
