Grammy-winning Nigerian music superstar Wizkid, real name Ayodeji Balogun, explains why he enjoys being taken for granted and how it motivates him.

According to Wizkid, being underappreciated gives him more energy than anything else in the world. This kind of thinking has kept him motivated throughout his career.

The musician disclosed this in response to a question from the host during a TEFLives Instagram live session about how he handles the ongoing pressure to succeed.

He claimed that when people undervalue him, it fuels a fire within of him that drives him to disprove their statements.

Wizkid believes that being underestimated allows him to surprise people with his abilities.

He said:

“I love it when people underestimate me, it fuels me more than anything else in the world.”

In another story, Wizkid gets emotional in viral video, revealed that his ex-girlfriend broke, crushed my heart.

In a retro interview with Media personality Toolz, bombarded with probing inquiries about his break-up and fervent encouragement regarding the prospect of reconciling with his ex-girlfriend.

Wizkid firmly dismissed the idea of reconciling with his ex-girlfriend during his response. Toolz, sensing his emotional reaction, questioned who initiated the breakup.

In response, the singer revealed that it was his ex-lover who ended the relationship, and left him heartbroken.

In the 2012 interview, the name of Wizkid’s ex-girlfriend wasn’t explicitly mentioned. However, the singer, who shot to stardom with his chart-topping single “Holla at Your Boy” in 2010, was romantically involved with Sophia Alakija, who notably appeared as a vixen in the music video for his debut hit.

Since then, the music sensation has embarked on a whirlwind of relationships, including with his first baby mama, Sola Ogudu, and his second baby mama, Binta Diamond.
