‘I survived what many would face and die’ – Singer Khaid speaks after health scare

Fast-rising Nigerian singer Sulaimon Shekoni popularly known as Khaid, has returned to social media months after a health scare.

Khaid was admitted to the hospital in April after being reported to be suffering from abdominal bleeding.

The Nigerian musician Adekunle Gold paid Khaid a visit in the hospital in May.

Gold was seen in viral videos interacting with Khaid, who appeared to be recovering.

On Wednesday, Khaid shared a snapshot of himself seated in a red automobile via Instagram.

He wrote another post on X, claiming that he survived what “many would face and die” from. He also praised God for life.

“Thank God for helping me overcome what many would face and die, Them no fit hold the Boy, We Rise Again.‼️,” he wrote.

He also shared a cryptic post which reads:

“Yall set moup but can never Shut me up. FYI, I’m Young Trump, I wish y’all long life so y’all can reap what you’ve sown accordingly.”

The tweet appeared to be a swipe at people he believes have harmed him, although he did not identify names.

Khaid is signed to Neville Records, a music label founded by Sydney Talker, the skit maker.

Since the release of his successful track ‘With You’ in 2022, the singer has continued to establish himself in the Nigerian music scene.

He was nominated for the ‘Rookie of the Year’ award at the 2023 Headies.

Last year, the musician revealed that he previously worked as an auto mechanic before joining Neville Records.

He said his encounter with Sydney “felt like God had answered my prayer”.
