The Nigerian actor Yul Edochie disclosed on Tuesday his reasons for not attending his colleague Junior Pope’s funeral.
He did not name names, although his post was made a few days following Pope’s funeral.
The actor died in April following a boat accident in Asaba, Delta state, on the River Niger.
On Friday, he was laid to rest at Nsukka, Enugu state’s Igbo-Etiti LGA.
His funeral was place in Ukehe’s Saint Peter’s Catholic Church.
In a post via his Instagram page, Edochie said he refused to mourn his late colleague because “he offended me”.
The actor added that Pope “betrayed me” after I took him as “a brother and good friend”.
The controversial film star said he is going to share full details soon.
“I didn’t want to say anything till after his burial. I know many asked why i wasn’t there, why I haven’t said anything yet,” he wrote.
“I took him like a brother and good friend. I was there for him when he needed me but he stabbed me in the back repeatedly. That’s life.
“I will drop full details soon so others can learn from it. Be careful what we wish people, it could come to you.”
